WRITER. AUTHOR.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR.
MOTHER. WIFE. DAUGHTER.
CITY GIRL. NATURE LOVER.
FRANCOPHILE. SWEET FREAK.
I love crafting stories. Whether for a brand, an article or helping a new business, digging behind the scenes, letting my imagination have a long leash, and creating narratives and campaigns that deliver truth, inspiration and maybe a little joy or wonder… that’s about as good as it gets.
My mission is to work on as many fun and fascinating projects as I can with good people. I’m naturally curious, a social introvert, and inspired by collaborating and the creative process.
As a copywriter and creative director in the ad world, I establish brand and strategic platforms, concept and create 360 campaigns, and write all forms of content. As an editorial writer, I’ve covered everything from public school lunches to cooking Persian food to how to spend 36 Hours in Buenos Aires or Litchfield, CT.
I’m also an author. In 2012, my best-selling book of “foodoir” (food journalism meets memoir), Paris, My Sweet: A Year in the City of Light (and Dark Chocolate) was published, followed by Brooklyn In Love: A Memoir of Food, Family and Finding Yourself in 2018. Before those, I also co-authored an interior design book titled Convertible Houses.
After a couple decades of city living (San Francisco, Manhattan & Brooklyn, Paris), I returned to my home state of Connecticut, where I commune with ospreys and herons, geek out over gardening and bocce, and spend time with my family.
My writing has appeared in The New York Times, T Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic Traveler, Town & Country, Bust, Vogue.com and others.
I have worked on a range of beauty, fashion, lifestyle and retail brands including Louis Vuitton, Bucherer, Mandarin Oriental, La Mer, Maybelline, Calvin Klein, Athleta, MasterClass, La Colombe, Bloomingdale’s, Mortlach, Pandora, Urban Decay, Sephora, Gap and many others, including local businesses and startups.
